Perfect Eyebrows (the most overlooked, yet very important little detail)

I can't tell you how many times I've seen women out there looking like they took a cue from the rapper Drake's song  (you know the little ditty...nails done, hair done, everything big), but they leave out one of the most important features of their face.  The eyes!  A well shaped brow can make even the simplest makeup look elegant.  On glammed out makeup it just makes your eyes POP!  Your eyebrows should frame your face, and draw the right kind of attention to your eyes.

Eyebrows should follow the natural shape of YOUR face.  Just because it looks good on Megan Fox doesn't mean it's going to look good on YOU.  Your face shape has a lot to do with the shape of brow you should have.  Getting your eyebrow done is one of the quickest, most affordable makeovers you can get.  The best eyebrow threading I ever had cost me $2!  Threading typically costs about $5-$10.  Waxing about $8-$10.  Once you get them professionally done, maintaining the shape yourself is fairly easy.
Megan Fox and her perfect brows

Common brow mistakes:
Wild and Untamed - You can have a heavier thicker brow, but even then you need some clean-up.  This goes for men too.
Shaved off - drawn on - Anytime I've seen this look, it's usually drawn on in the wrong spot, either arched waaaay to high, or no arch at all.  Once I saw a lady with staple shaped eyebrows.  Just makes you look clueless, no matter how well you're dressed, or how well you've applied your make-up.
No Eyebrows- In this case, I would recommend getting some eyebrow stencils, a good brow brush, and some eyebrow shadow.  Fill in those brows!

The Unibrow - NEVER looks good.  That goes for both males and females. One little strip of wax can make such a difference.
Over-plucking - this just makes your brown way too thin, and doesn't leave you much to work with.  Best in this case to allow your brows to grow back as much as they can, and have them professionally shaped.  Yes, there are brow specialist out there!

Some More Pictures of the New MyMy Wig

For those of you who've been asking to see some more pictures of the new cap style, or for those of you who were asking whether or not you can wear your hair pulled back or pinned you go!

Here are some more shots of the new MyMy cap with Invisible Knots at the top.

*As a side note, the wig in these pictures is made with European hair and is 18 inches long.

Tip for Instantly Glossy Hair

Eventually hair color will begin to fade.   A trick to combat this without a re-color  involves water, vinegar and lavender oil.
I suggest the following be done on clean hair:
Combine 1 cup cold water, 1 cup distilled vinegar (available at the grocery store) and a few drops of lavender oil (to counter the smell of the vinegar).
The acidity in the vinegar will super close the cuticle leaving you with the shiniest hair ever!

Using Hair Extensions for Your Wedding Style

It's the day you've dreamed about since you were a little girl.  You've already bought the perfect dress.  You've ordered the perfect flowers and the perfect cake.  You got your make-up all planned out...perfectly, of course.  But what are you going to do with your shoulder-length bob cut, when you really have something else in mind entirely.  It's not like you can grow 6 inches or more of hair overnight.  Or can you???...

If you're thinking of adding volume and length to your hair, extensions would be the way to go.

Whether you have them sewn in, or simply clipped in, is up to you.

For your wedding day, why skimp by using low quality hair?  You want to look your best. Why not start out by using the best?

Taking Care of Your Hair During the Winter Months

Taking care if your hair during the winter months can be challenging. The use of heaters can cause dryness and static.   Using a humidifier in the home can help to restore some of the lost moisture in the air.
The best way to combat dry hair,  is moisture... moisture... moisture!
We recommend a weekly deep conditioning treatment to help combat winter's drying effects. After your treatment we suggest a liberal amount of Miss MyMy hair serum to seal the cuticle and lock in the moisture. Try to avoid drying the hair with heat whenever possible...air drying is the best. If you're not able to completely air dry,  towel dry as much as possible and finish with medium high blow drying.  Fear not my beauties...Spring is just around the corner.  I can just feel it!

Hope that helps.

Spring Fever

The sun has been in full effect all day.  Snow's melting; puddles are forming.  All this is making me very anxious for Spring to arrive.  You've had the chance by now (I hope) to check out some of our "what's new" stuff in the blog.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again now: the time to start thinking about your summer hair is NOW!  Custom wigs, are just that: CUSTOM.  Our wigs are all hand-made.  One person works on each wig from start to completion.  This ensures consistency throughout the wig, as well as provides us with a quality control reference.  If you're even thinking that you want something new for June, you would be wise to get that idea on the track to become a reality.  If I had a dime for all the times clients waited until the last possible moment to order their new wig....Isn't that how the saying goes?
